Student altercation in Communications South

Male student reportedly attacks female student in restroom

On April 18, in Communications South, an altercation between two students took place in the women’s restroom.  An unnamed female student was reportedly assaulted in the bathroom by a male student. Adjunct English instructor Aurora Hill heard the screams of the female student and interrupted the attack and restrained the male student until Campus Police arrived, according to student and faculty witnesses.

The English Department has since voiced concern for the safety on campus and has requested increased police presence to heighten security around the Communications building.

Campus Police has not yet issued a police report from the incident. The Montage will be providing more information as it becomes available. Check back for updates.
