Former STLCC Professor indicted on charges of sex with a student

Chris Stephens, a former professor at the Florrisant Valley campus for over 20 years, was charged with having sex with a student at Kirkwood High School in the late 1990’s.

KSDK reports that Chris Stephens, a former STLCC Professor at the Florissant Valley campus, was indicted on charges of having sex with then-Kirkwood High School student Katie Pappageorge in the late 1990’s. More students have come forward with allegations against Stephens, who was employed by Kirkwood School District from 1991 to his resignation in January 1998.

The alleged abuse occurred in various areas on the Kirkwood High School campus over a two year period. KSDK provides a detailed timeline of Stephen’s activities in this article.

Stephens retired from STLCC in May of 2019. He had been employed by the district in various roles since 1998, primarily on the Florissant Valley campus. Notably, he was the coordinator for STLCC’s Study Abroad program.
