With a struggling economy, there are students that need additional help in order to maintain school and family necessities. TANF is a state-run program and was created to help address the needs of students that are receiving public assistance.
Unlike other police departments, Meramec officers do not have quotas to meet. However, they belong to a Missouri patrol agency because STLCC Meramec is a state school. For this reason, Meramec’s security team can and are able to provide the same authority as any other municipality or state agency in Missouri.
The early education center, at Meramec and Forest Park serving children 3 – 7 years old while students attended classes, officially closed on July 1, 2010.
STLCC-Meramec recognized at the International festival in Orlando, Fla., receiving four awards.
