Eyeglass Recycling

STLCC-Meramec is aiding the charity organization New Eyes for the Needy by collecting used eyewear to be recycled for the use of those in need who have eye care needs. One collection box is currently on campus in the office of Darlaine Gardetto, SO 219. Donations may also be sent through intercampus mail to Gardetto. Last year, New Eyes for the Needy was able to provide prescription glasses to more than 5,900 underprivileged U.S. residents. This year the STLCC campus collections will further aid the organization. Additional information is available at www.neweyesfortheneedy.org.
